How does the maintenance of responses work?

Each QuestBase premium license allows you to keep your responses on file for 6 months, 1 year or unlimited.

Maintenance of responses

The maintenance of responses is affected:

  • by the active license on the account
  • by the abandoned response management preference set in the profile

Each license level has a maintenance (or archiving) period for responses in which they are guaranteed to be available from the date of completion.

At the end of the retention period, the responses will be automatically deleted.

The retention of unwindings is calculated in real time based on a user’s active license.

In the process of expiration/renewal:

  • if the license is renewed, the maintenance period will remain as per the relevant Premium level
  • if you decide to change the Premium level (upgrade or downgrade), the maintenance period will be adjusted when the new license is activated
  • if, on the other hand, the license is not renewed, the unfoldments will still be available for 30 days: at the end, the retention period of the Standard license level will be applied.

Abandoned responses

If you have enabled the automatic deletion preference for abandoned responses in the user profile, the retention period will not be considered for such unwindings: unwindings that have been abandoned for more than 24 hours will be directly deleted.

This preference is turned off by default when you create your new QuestBase account.

We would like to point out, however, that if in your old QuestBase account this setting was enabled and you migrated your data, the option will also be enabled on your new QuestBase account.

Check if the option is enabled by following these steps:

  1. log in to your personal area of QuestBase
  2. click on your profile picture in the upper right corner
  3. click on Edit Profile
  4. Click Options, in the side menu
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and in the Other Options section, check to see if the flag under Delete Abandoned responses is active.
